ChargeControl.
Charge. Control.
Assign.

Intelligent OCPP charging and load management — directly on the Gira HomeServer.

ChargeControl connects OCPP charging points, dynamic load management, user management, charging history and analytics with your existing building automation.

Gira Smart Home Partner

Charging infrastructure as part of building automation.

ChargeControl adds powerful charging and load management for OCPP-compatible charging points to the Gira HomeServer.

Charging power is monitored and controlled, available connection capacity is distributed intelligently, and charging sessions are assigned to users and charging points.

01

Dynamic load management

Intelligently distribute the available connection capacity across multiple charging points.

02

Multiple load groups

Control independent building sections or grid connections separately.

03

Prioritisation

Prioritise charging points and limit their power individually.

04

Users & RFID

Manage charging authorisations centrally and assign charging sessions unambiguously.

05

Charging history & CSV

Filter and analyse charging sessions and export them for further processing.

06

OCPP 1.6 JSON

Vendor-independent connection of compatible charging points via OCPP.

07

PMS integration

Connect hotel systems via modular interfaces and link charging sessions to guest and reservation processes.

Make intelligent use of the available connection capacity.

ChargeControl takes the current building load into account and only provides the charging infrastructure with the power that is actually available.

If the building's energy demand changes, the charging budget is adjusted automatically. Multiple load groups allow different building sections or grid connections to be controlled independently.

ChargeControl dynamic load management
Actual ChargeControl interface: load groups, connection limits, reserve and available charging power.

Assign charging sessions unambiguously.

Users and RFID media are managed centrally in ChargeControl.

For hassle-free authorisation, Plug & Charge is also available. A charging point can be enabled once and the subsequent charging session assigned to the corresponding Plug & Charge user.

ChargeControl users and RFID

Who charged when, where and how much?

ChargeControl records the relevant data of every charging session.

This includes the charging point, user, start and end time, and the amount of energy charged. The data can be filtered, analysed and exported as CSV.

QuadClient plugin: current charging power, energy charged, user, operating mode, power setpoint, Plug & Charge and stop charging.

Vendor-independent via OCPP 1.6 JSON.

ChargeControl communicates with the connected wallboxes via OCPP and is therefore not tied to a single wallbox manufacturer.

The control functions available depend on the OCPP feature set supported by the respective charging point.

For different buildings and operators.

Companies

Assign charging sessions to employees and distribute connection capacity efficiently.

Apartment buildings

Operate multiple charging points within defined power limits.

Commercial properties

Integrate charging infrastructure into energy and building management.

Hotels

Provide charging points for guests and staff and assign charging sessions unambiguously.

Link charging to hotel processes.

ChargeControl can be connected to property management systems (PMS) via interfaces. This allows a charging session to be assigned to a current reservation or guest account and — depending on the interface of the PMS in use — passed to the hotel system as a chargeable service.

This creates a seamless process from charging authorisation to the hotel bill. The existing hotel key card can also be used as a charging authorisation, provided the card technology and locking system offer the required identification or interface.

  1. Key card / guest Charging authorised via key card or RFID
  2. ChargeControl Check authorisation, assign the guest
  3. Wallbox Charging point is enabled
  4. Charging session Energy charged is recorded
  5. PMS Posted to the reservation or guest account
  6. Hotel bill Charging appears on the hotel bill

Integration with common hotel PMS possible.

PMS 01

Mews

Open Connector API for reservations, guest data, charges and integrations.

PMS 02

Apaleo

API-first PMS with Booking, Finance, Guest and Webhook APIs; suitable for assigning and posting services.

PMS 03

Oracle OPERA Cloud

Integration via the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP), including reservation and billing interfaces.

PMS 04

SIHOT

Integration via the open SIHOT@360° integration and API technology.

PMS 05

ibelsa.rooms

API interfaces for PMS and POS system integrations.

PMS 06

HS3

Project-specific integration via the interfaces provided by the system; specific functions are checked for each installation.

Modular integration concept: The specific PMS integration is implemented via a suitable ChargeControl adapter. Available functions — such as guest and reservation assignment, posting to the guest account or use of the hotel key card — depend on the PMS version, enabled interfaces, locking system and card technology.

One-time licence. Matched to the number of charging points.

ChargeControl is licensed according to the number of charging connectors that can be used simultaneously. The feature set of the standard licence packages is identical — the right licence depends solely on the size of the installation.

ChargeControl S 399€ 1–2 charging points

Full ChargeControl feature set.

ChargeControl M 790€ 3–5 charging points

Full ChargeControl feature set.

ChargeControl L 1.190€ 6–10 charging points

Full ChargeControl feature set.

ChargeControl XL 1.690€ 11–20 charging points

Full ChargeControl feature set.

Enterprise On request More than 20 charging points

Individual licensing for larger installations.

ChargeControl Hotel On request PMS & third-party systems

ChargeControl licence based on the number of charging points plus project-specific integration of PMS, hotel key card, access or other third-party systems.

Licence and update notice

One-time software licence · no subscription · permanent use of the purchased ChargeControl software version.

The licence entitles you to permanent use of the purchased ChargeControl major version on one Gira HomeServer installation. Bug fixes within the purchased major version may be provided. Major feature extensions, new major versions and any compatibility adjustments required for future versions of the Gira HomeServer software or firmware are not part of the one-time licence and may be offered for a fee.

Before updating the Gira HomeServer software or firmware, compatibility with the ChargeControl version in use must be checked. An update of the Gira HomeServer does not automatically require an update of ChargeControl.

Installation, project engineering, configuration, commissioning, support, remote maintenance and custom adaptations are not included in the licence price unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Upgrades: When moving to a higher charging point tier, the existing licence can be upgraded. As a rule, the difference to the price of the higher licence tier valid at the time of the upgrade is charged.

Definition: Each charging connector that can be used simultaneously counts as one charging point. The licence is tied to one Gira HomeServer installation. A necessary hardware replacement can be handled via a licence transfer.

Third-party systems: The scope and availability of PMS and other third-party system integrations depend on the system, version, enabled interfaces and third-party APIs. Any licence, API or interface costs charged by the third-party provider are not included.

All prices are net plus statutory VAT. Prices subject to change.
